Synopsis - The Enterprise is sent to learn the fate of the USS Intrepid, a starship manned entirely by Vulcans. Where an entire system used to exist, there is now a black void in space, where the laws of physics are reversed. At the centre of this void is a giant ameba several hundred times the size of the Enterprise.
