Synopsis - On therapeutic leave on Argelius II, Scotty is the only possible suspect in a series of brutal murders of young women. In two of the three murders, Scotty blacked out and doesn't remember anything, and in the third one he felt something push him out of the way. A hearing is convened aboard the Enterprise to prove Scotty's innocence and find the real murderer.
Wolf In The Fold is the first and only real murder mystery story in Trek. Very well crafted pitting loveable Scotty as the chief murder suspect in each case. The story takes a real turn when the "Jack-the-Ripper" angle is revealed; setting him up as an enitity that can travel from world to world and finally providing a possible explanation for those unsolved murders of that time.
