peration: Annihilate! gives us our first introduction to Kirk's family. We briefly heard his brother mentioned in What Are Little Girls Made of?. Mind you, we still don't get to meet his brother here; we just see his body (who incidentally is played by William Shatner); but we do still get to meet his wife and son. We also learn that Vulcans have inner eyelids that sheild their eyes from blinding light.
This episode rounded off the first season, both in production and on the air.
