hat Are Little Girls Made Of? was the first of many Trek episodes to deal with androids and transferring human consciousness into them. Other episodes to follow would be the second season episodes "I, Mudd" and "Return To Tomorrow"; the third season episode "Requiem For Methuselah"; and with the character Data in the Next Generation, specifically the episodes "The Schizoid Man" and "Inheritance", with a hint of it in "Silicon Avatar". This was the second episode to indicate that Spock was only half-Vulcan, with Kirk's coded "message" to spock, "Mind your own business Mr. Spock, I'm sick of your half-breeded interference."
