harlie X touches again on the old adege power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This time though, the one with the power has had it all is life, but never shown how to use it properly. This episode also puts an additional restraint on the Captain; a ladies man who doesn't want any other commitment besides his ship and the service. Here he's faced with the role of fatherhood when Charlie "adopts" him.
