    Editorial:

    T
he Naked Time became the first episode to deal with time travel. The slingshot effect they acheived by accident in this episode they would re-enact on purpose in Assignment Earth as well as the film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. This was also the first episode referenced back to by The Next Generation with their first episode, after the pilot, "The Naked Now"; which is essentially a retelling of this classic story set 100 years later. As a true sequel it did actually make reference to this episode.
