he Man Trap had the singular honour of being the debut episode for the series when the series premiered on the NBC Network on Thursday, the 8th of September, 1966 at 8:30 in the evening; and provided TV audiences with the first glimpse the new Wagon Train to the Stars as Roddenberry billed the series when selling it to NBC.
The episode deals with allowing oneself to fall in love with the monster that killed one's mate, when it takes in the form of it's prey.
